Steel Battalion Heavy Armor Demo Available Now, New Trailer Released

If there's one game that I've been curious about playing this year, it's Steel Battalion Heavy Armor. The combination of controller support and Kinect-based motion control sounds haphazard at worst, and sublime at best depending on how developer From Software handles the mixtue of control schemes. Luckily, Capcom announced that a demo has been released for the mech sim. Available right now on Xbox Live, the demo will teach you the basics of controlling your mech through two full levels.
A trailer has also been released detailing the tutorial level courtesy of GameTrailers.com. Given that the first action you perform using the Kinect is shaking an eager recruit's hand, I was immediately excited for the dumb potential of the peripheral's inclusion in the game. That said, even in the trailer the Kinect support looks a little dodgy. We'll have to check out the demo ourselves to see if that's the case in the final product.
