The Last Of Us Gameplay Footage Is A Trap
- 5-16-2012
- Categorized in: Video Game News
The Last of Us has been somewhat of a mystery since its announcement, with only brief flashes of enemies appearing in the trailers and only a few tidbits on the game's world leaking out of developer Naughty Dog. The game is set to release later this year, though, and Sony has started trickling out gameplay footage in order to promote the game. That said, don't expect this to clear up any questions you might have about the game's world or its enemies. The video below gives us a good idea of the game's graphical quality and the actor's performances, and yes, they both look excellent. Otherwise, it still leaves a few details up in the air.
As suggested by the title, the "Hunter City Truck Ambush" cutscene below sees our heroes getting stuck in an ambush when a man pretends to be injured in order to draw them over. With a packed highway on one side and a bunch of angry looters on the other, it doesn't look like there will be much choice but for players to fight their way out when the game releases later in 2012.
