Orcs Must Die! 2, an action strategy game from Robot Entertaniment,  has been officially announced with an announcement trailer on youtube showing various features from the game.

Classes shown in the announcement video are The War Mage and The Sorceress. The trailer also shows Co-Op Orc Slaying, new enemy mobs, new levels,  and a chance to "play your way". A redesigned spell book means that the players will have a lot more options in designing their defenses. The game also features an improved upgrade system.

The game will have a completely new campaign that is playable either in single player mode, or Coop.

Those attending PAX East 2012 on Apr 6-8 in Boston, can stop by the Robot Entertainment booth (1172) and try a playable version of the game. Publisher's website also promises that as a special bonus, players who have bought the original Orcs Must Die! game on PC will be able to unlock exclusive content in this second installment.

The game will release exclusively for PC. Responding to fans asking for the game to be released on XBLA, Robot Entertainment said that they have decided to focus their efforts on a single platform in order to allow them to build a "bigger, high quality experience in about the same amount of time"
