What is GameShampoo?GameShampoo is a place to ask questions and get answers on any gaming topic, while earning points and having fun! If you are stuck in a game and need a puzzle solution, or if you need advice about what class to choose in the new video game you are playing, or if you have any other question related to gaming, you have come to the right place!
Do I have to register to participate?
You can still ask and answer questions if you are not registered or not logged in. However, some features such as voting are disabled. You also don't get points for your activity if you are unregistered. Registration is fast and easy, so we recommend you join today!
How do I earn points?
You start off with 100 points just for joining! After that, each activity on the site can earn you a certain number of points:
- Posting a question: 15 pts
- Selecting the best answer for your question: 10 pts
- Posting an answer: 25 pts
- Having your answer selected as the best: 10 pts
- Voting up a question/answer: 2 pts
- Voting down a question/answer: 1 pts
- Getting an upvote on your question/answer: 1 pts (up to 50)
- Getting a downvote on your question/answer: -1 pts (up to -10)
What are the different ranks?
As you earn points, you advance in rank:
- Newbie 0 points
- Rookie 200 points
- Initiate 300 points
- Journeyman 500 points
- Adept 750 points
- Mercenary 1,000 points
- Soldier 2,000 points
- Hero 3,000 points
- Paragon 4,000 points
- Champion 5,000 points
- Master 7,500 points
- Grandmaster 10,000 points
- Prince 20,000 points
- King 30,000 points
- Emperor 50,000 points
- Galactic Emperor 100,000 points
What are Badges?
Badges reward you for your participation and for doing certain actions. Your Badges will be proudly displayed near your username! There are 3 levels of Badges: Bronze Badges are the easiest to get, Silver Badges requires a bit more work and Gold Badges are the hardest ones to obtain. How can I win prizes?
We are currently working on the rewards system, but those who are active and earn a high number of points will be rewarded with various gaming prizes!
