SDCC 2012: Gears Of War Judgement Overrun Trailer Shows Off New Multiplayer Modes

Daimon Baird wants to teach you how to play Gears of War: Judgement's new Overrun mode in this odd new trailer. Even for longtime fans of Gears of War, this is a good watch, as the Overrun mode simply changes so much of the core series gameplay. Unlike the other multiplayer modes, Overrun encourages class-based play, with classes like the Medic, the Engineer, and the Scout each having unique abilities and gadgets.
And then there's the new Locust-based gameplay. Again, each Locust functions as its own unique class. The differences between the Locust classes are perhaps even more pronounced than those between the human classes, as many don't even weild guns. This should introduce some of the most varied and unique gameplay that the franchise has seen yet.
If this new trailer is any indication, Overrun could be the most complex and rewarding Gears multiplayer experience to date. Look forward to more coverage of this promising new mode, as well as Judgement's single-player campaign, soon.
