Resistance: Burning Skies Gameplay Trailer Brings Revolution To The Palm Of Your Hands

Resistance: Burning Skies was one of the first games announced alongside the Vita way back in 2011. The portable shooter will finally see the light of day at the end of the month, and Sony and developer Nihilistic have begun stepping up their promotional game respectively. The below trailer, which originally premiered during Sony's big reveal of God of War: Ascension's multiplayer mode, showcases the dual-analog gameplay and some of the touch screen features, as well as some new weapons and returning enemies. Of particular interest are the crossbow with explosive-tipped bolts and the fire ax, which looks like it'll be a gory and satisfying way to put down enemies.
Along the way, it looks like you'll be contending with the standard array of Resistance enemies, along with a chunky framerate. Seriously, there are a few scenes in the trailer that make me question whether or not the framerate will hold up in the final product. Check it out below to see what I mean. If worst comes to worst, Sony can always patch it like they did with Wipeout. Either way, check back with GameShampoo to get the final word on Sony's new shooter when it ignites May 29th.
