enable console first ( Options>Keybard>Advanced)

then press the ~ key to enable console

Type in the box at the bottom of the console

Go to the options screen, go to keyboard, then advanced then tick developer console.

Press the tilde key (~) and you may enter any console command you know or want. Pressing tab also brings possible commands after starting a letter or word.

In order to use the console, you have to first enable it

1) by setting a launch option in the steam program

2) by enabling it in the options menu under advanced settings in the keyboard tab, I think.

Press ~ then type into the obvious bar at the bottom.
