You can get more credits for completing optional objectives apart from the main objective.

You can gain credits by completing missions or having 25/25 research, then selling the research.

Replaying missions won't net you any credits though, unfortunately.

There is supposed to be a glitch. Not sure if it still works.

Just keep repeating the FIRST Protoss mission and you will earn the credits over and over again.

Completing missions earns you credits.

Bonus objectives can also earn you credits.

Selling research (once you've maxed out a research path) will also earn you credits!

On top of this, if you're trying to get any of the achievements (e.g. get all mercenaries) you can simply accumulate all your credits and save the game. You can then purchase all the mercenaries, getting you the achievement, then load the save file where you haven't spent any of the credits yet. This way, you can get the achievement/s you want + save the credits for something else!

You'd want to complete the secondary objectives. Also, grab all the research (Zerg and Protoss) so that when you max out the updrades you'll get credit for them.
