portal 2 does shooting the surveillance cameras do anything?

Not really, but in the first Portal there was extra dialogue from GLaDOS when you did and I think there was also an achievement for doing it.

Your still able to disable the surveillance cameras off the walls like in the first portal, but i dont think theirs an achievment for it in Portal 2.

Not really, there is no achievement for shooting them down. I use them though for various tasks or just for fun.

The extra achievement in portal 1 for shooting the cameras, as far as I recall, was added post-release. I think this time, there is no such achievement, partially because the lack of environment sterility that was in the first one.

So far there is no special interaction between the game and you if you shoot our the cameras.

 

In Portal 1 GlaDos had special lines if you shot out the cameras, and if you got all of them you got an achievement. That does not seem to be the case in Portal 2 at this time

In the first one, you could get an achievment but the 2nd one doesnt really have that, so I guess its useless.

Probably not, if you mean ' does it have a similar achievement as in the first one ' i would say no, since most of them were on a unportable surface, thus not breakable.
