rock band 3 how does the keyboard work

how does the keyboard work in rock band 3?

You can play the simple mode with only 5 keys or the pro mode with much more keys including sharps and flats.  I think the idea is that you should be able to play with just one hand but some songs are much easier using both.

The gameplay is similar to playing the piano but not equal ^^
