My terraria server won't connect

Question

Me and my freind are trying to play terraria, but when i clicked join and entered the ip address and server port and everything, it just says "connecting to (name of ip thing).

Then it just stays there loading. It's not frozen, because the music is still playing, and the clouds are still going by and everything, but it just stays with the same message. PLEASE HELP!!!!!

I don't know why the Terraria server isn't working, but it's not working for anyone. But someone mentioned that using hamachi worked for them so I suggest you use that.
