i got this

I am sorry for the disappointment caused because of cancelling your pre-order #####

Please be informed that as previously stated it was due to a catalogue error the ' Star Wars: The Old Republic (PC DVD)' was listed incorrectly and we have cancelled your order.

Despite our best efforts, with the millions of items available on our website, errors can occasionally occur.

Therefore, under the circumstances, we request you place a new order for this item 'Star Wars: The Old Republic (PC DVD) (With early access and colour stone pre-order bonus)' with us and write back to us with the order number so that we will offer the same price (29.91 GBP ) by refunding or reducing the item cost.

they wrote me some generic response:

We regret that the catalogue error occurred and we are sorry that you are disappointed with our decision to cancel your order for "Star Wars: The Old Republic (PC DVD)".

I do understand your concern about our pre-order price guarantee. Unfortunately, we are unable to offer you any concession in relation to this matter.

The Conditions of Use and Sale displayed on our website clearly state that there is no contract between Amazon.co.uk and the customer for an item until Amazon.co.uk accepts the customer order by e-mail, confirming that it has dispatched the item. The order confirmation e-mail is simply an acknowledgement of our receipt of your order and no contract is formed until we send an e-mail confirming that we've dispatched the item.

Until that time, Amazon.co.uk is within its rights not to accept your order and may indicate its non-acceptance by cancelling your order."

Hi

I am in the process of complaining to Amazon RE this. I have been cancelled twice on this, and each time the price increases by £10

Amazons Pre Order Price Promise is a load of crap, as when it gets too cheap they cancel all orders and expect YOU to reorder at the higher price

Thanks

Andy
