Generally fulfill capture objectives and harry the enemy team. The scout runs fastest and can double jump so he's a natural pick to get to objectives quickly. He also captures points at double the speed of other players, so use him a lot in cp matches. To harry your opponents (annoy and do a bit of damage) simply double jump in unpredictable directions to dodge enemy fire and use the default shotgun to occasionally pepper a crowd with bullets. Switch to the pistol to finish off enemies from range and don't be afraid to use the bat a bit in tight maps like 2fort.
