how to become thane of falkreath

Question

Ok so here is my problem I have gotten the newest skyrim legendary game and I have a character who is a lvl 81 warrior and archer btw his name is link shout out to all the LOZ players anyway I am trying to become thane in falkreath to buy a house because it fits with my character and I've read that you can only do this by receiving a letter from a courier but he never came up to me and I've helped everyone possible in falkreath except the jarl I go up to the jarl nd the option "is there anything else you need my jarl?" Doesn't pop up ITS DRIVING ME INSANE PLZ PLZ PLZ HELP ME if some one ANYONE cud help me solve this, I will be very greatful :)))
