how long is portal 2?

We don't know for certain yet, but Valve has said the game is decently longer than the first, and while it is hard to measure a puzzle title like this time wise, I do believe in an interview they said it would be about 6-8 hours, this is not including co-operative, which will probably double that number.

Until the game comes out, though, we won't have completely accurate numbers.

Portal 1 is supposedly 3 hours long. The second is supposedly 2-3x longer, which means it is somewhere between 6-9 hours long.

Actually, it's longer than the other answerers say, since it has a singleplayer and a co-op part.

Compared to Portal 1, the single player part is three times longer, and the co-op part is twice the length of Portal 1, so in total, Portal 2 is around 4 hours * 5.5 = 22 hours long.
