Why not? If you have set a difficulty setting other than Peaceful, mobs are sure to appear

Light sources also keep em from spawning if you have enough light....everywhere...:/

i want to bang my head on a wall for you asking this.

if the difficulty setting is anything BUT peaceful there will be mobs you cant help it only the owner of the server can.

and if you dont like mobs then go play single player peaceful or go on a peaceful server like the wimp you are.

no mobs = no danger = no fun

mobs also give you some items you cant get anywhere else fyi
