What happened to the NY general store in ac3?

Question

So I'm doing the homestead missions (beat ac3) And all the homestead mission icons are gone. Even in Boston and Ny and frontier. I need to Get tools for the blacksmith at a NY general Store. But when i go to NY it shows no stores. At all. Vanished. I'm so stuck. Help
