There won't be a Portal 3 till HL3 is out. The HL fans are screaming for HL3 already.

And then there will probably be another L4D or CS game.

That is the rough sequence of events, I believe. So don't expect Portal 3 anytime soon.

dude, there might be because the ending shows her in the middle of nowhere and portal 3 might be based on her getting back down there and asking GLaDOS how to get back home and she sends her robots to help u get through her levels until ur bak home but the boss could be the blue core coming bak to earth and u have to fight it?

No, that isn't how Portal 3 would play out. Obviously none of us know how long the main character has been at the Aperture Science Center, meaning that now she is out, she many not know how to start living again or even how to live. GLaDOUS says that you were born there, and granted she may just have been fucking with us, but still there is that chance. Or the fact that at the end of Portal, our girl is out of the Aperture Science Center and at the beginning of Portal 2 she is back at the Aperture Science Center, that leaves the question of how she got back? That could very easily have the 3rd game be how she got back. Please try to use a little more of your brain when talking about Portal, because if the 3rd game was like you said, where would the Portal Gun even come into play?

Is that even made by valve? Seems more like a fans work to me. Also, it doesn't get into much depth. Seeing as how hard they tried to have a story for Portal, that comic seems too simple. Please reply back when you get this.

The Portal series has been very popular and Valve has profitied from it quite a bit so they're most likely thinking about creating another sequel. My guess would most likely be that Portal 3 will come out, but not for a while.

well so far portal 2 is a huge success. so im guessing yes. the only question is what will be the storyline. could chell end up getting another portal gun and they can mix portal 3 with the half life universe and have where she actually meets freeman and gman and the two (in coop mode) navigate both hl and portal universes entertwined together.

I personally think that portal 3 should be a prequal. How aperture science came to be and they should go into that hole thing with carolyn and cave johnson. i didn't quite get that part of the story...anyway, the protagonist could be some original test subject (or chell), and they could have just invented the portal gun and be testing it out and stuff. idk. i think that's at least the basis for an awesome idea...
