It's all going to depend on your playing speed, good anonymous question asker. A rough estimate of the time it'll take you to find the best Pokemon, level them up sufficiently, and tackle N and the Elite Four is 50 hours. Of course, it took me around 100 hours to do, but mainly because I was more concerned with breeding great Pokemon and catching all of the Legendaries.

There is plenty more to do than just beat the story mode, if that's what you're talking about. There are now over 640 Pokemon for you to catch, and there are just as many great little games, challenges, and side-quests as there always have been in the series. If you're thinking about not getting this game because you feel it might be too short, remember that people have spent over 600 hours on it already!
