upon reflection case walkthrough i found a gun on the roof in the alley now what do I do with it?

Inspect it.  Rotate the item around until your stick starts to vibrate a bit, then hold it still and you['ll get the serial number and such.  Your partner will give you the address to a gun shop, go there and investigate.
