No you cannot save the people at the very beginning of dead rising 2.

Nope, they all die. You can use this to your advantage in the beginning - wait a few seconds and let them draw zombies towards themselves. Then you can make a run for it without getting attacked.

No they won't. Otherwise there won't be zombies and this won't be a zombie game.

The whole idea of zombie games is to have dead people.
