can you change your respawn in minecraft?

Not now, but i'm pretty sure you'll be able to once the 1.4 update is released.

as of the 1.4 update whichever bed the player slept in they will respawn in the position of the bed

With 1.4 beds change respawn but in fact old respawn is still remebered , you can change this old respawn (which is held for situation if you broke that bed) via eg. MCedit :)

Now you can! You can now sleep in a bed to change your respawn point to the bed.
