Why don't you go talk to them?

Besides it also depends on the game condition. Some games which require registration, obviously they don't take in.

It depends on how much they can sell the game for, seriously.  Gamestop prefers to have a considerably markup on used games, and so they only pay a small fraction for the game compared to what they sell it for. (They justify it saying that it is required to support the amount of overhead needed to buy/sell used games and manange inventory for different stores/districts). But their large profits mean it seems to be working out for them.

Generally they will pay somewhere between 20-%50 of the used game price, depending on the game that can be a reasonable, or very small amount.

Generally you have way more success getting a larger (closer to fair market value) for a game by selling it to ebay, or trading with someone online.

You usually get the "best" value for your traded in games when using one of their many promotions (eg. trade 2 get 1 new game release, etc) that gives you a guaranteed value amount regardless of what the game sells for.

It depends on the game. If you call your local store, they will look it up and tell you. You may get more if you sell it on Ebay or something. Remember Gamestop also has to make a profit, so you may not get much for it. Or you can hold out for trade in deals they have.
