how can i get ope through to the catacombs in dead island?

There is a cleaver on the right side of the village and a sickle on the left side. Pick up as many of the knives as u can hold in ur inventory. Then throw all of the knives except 1 at the thug on the left side and the thug will come towards u. Wait till it gets close to u and kill the thug with ur 1 knife. Once u kill the thug take all of ur knives out of him. Then go up and kill the walkers. Then go kill the butcher. It might take a couple times but it works!
