how can you get the parents to go out on vacation in sims 3 generations?

First Of All:

They need to have a TEENAGE child, once you've been playing for a while, the option to offer the parents a vacation should come up. Then you can throw teen parties! But they might come back in the middle of the party.. (It happened to me once!)
