whats the fastest way to level on call of duty black ops?

I'd have to say hardcore search and destroy. It's like playing footbal, but with guns. I always come away with at least 800 to 1000 xp every time.

Try just playing free for all or capture the flag as there is alot of points to be had in both modes.

I just started playing Headquarters, Demolition and Domination, and have much much higher XP gains in these game modes.  Free For All is not a game mode to use if you are out to level up imho.

Headquarters is a good way of levelling up to :D Also make sure you keep refershing you contracts because they can give you lots of little XP boosts :)

Play one of these modes you feel good in: Free For All, CTF, TDM or hardcore versions of these. Other modes don't give you so many points. Try to always use the newest weapons available because their achievements give you enough points. You can also buy contracts, because they help you get money for new weapons you will need.

on xbox or ps3 do domination, you get 10k+ points each round if you try to capture areas
