whats better, a Wii or a Xbox 360 with Kinect?

There are strong rumors of a Wii price drop coming soon and a Wii 2 being announced at e3. I'd wait for the price to drop on a Wii before buying.

Of course my personal preference would be to go for the 360 and Kinect.

I would recommend the Xbox with Kinect as well.  And if you are a big fan of Nintendo wait a little ^^ There are rumors of a new Nintendo console being announced soon ^^

but yeah, Kinect is pretty sweet, plus you can also play other awesome games like Halo on a x360, whereas on Wii a majority of the games are pretty bad (and im saying that coz im a Wii owner :P)

i would say xbox would be better cuz when wii2 comes out probably none of the new games would work on wii and you won't be able to play the new games (just like how the 3ds games won't work on the DSi)

Kinect, since wii is basically filled with boring third party games. At least Xbox has some good, quality games.

Between the two, I'd have to say 360 and Kinect.

Both the Wii and the Kinect are gimmicky, but the Kinect itself is an interesting piece of equipment.

The unfortunate similarity between these two things, though, is that the majority of the games on them are pretty trashy and, well, gimmicky. The target age of the Wii is much lower than the target age of the 360 also.

Also, you're open to the entertainment capabilities of the 360 itself, such as streaming media from your PC and watching DVDs.

The biggest downside to the 360 is the fee for Xbox Live. However, compared to every other console, it has easily the most functional online system. You get what you pay for, though.

With Wii 2 comming around the corner id go with the XBOX unless you are buying it for a kid then go with the more family friendly console the Wii

Space plays a big issue.  Using the Kinect generally requires more space then the Wii. You need enough distance between you and the camera for it to work. Those people who have 10ft between their couch and TV are fine, but many of us live in smaller spaces and are already trying to make the most out of it. Having to move couches just to play a game can be a bit of a bother.

 

Another plus for the Wii is it gives you an immersive feeling of being able to hold a "prop".  Currently no kinect games suppot this (although hopefully in the future).

Go for the 360 with Kinect as Wii 2 will be coming out so there is no point in getting the Wii unless you can wait for the wii 2

Get an XBOX,,,,, when you arent playing with your Kinect.... other people would like to get better use out of your gaming system by playing worth-while games like Black Ops or Halo,,,

You should get the x360 simply because of better selection of games. The wii is becoming a rubbish console now with crappy game only 5 years old would be interested in. There are a one or two games for the wii which you could wait for which is Zelda Skyward sword or Xenoblade but other than those two you might as get a xbox 360. As for Kinect, just wait till the price get lower.

It depends entirely on the purpose, money, situation etc :D

If you just want some fun on something that moves, then I'd say Wii becuase it is much cheaper and easier to get into straight away and has a massive back catalogue to get into.

If you're looking for something that will give some moveable fun on the side but with a hardcore gaming core to go a play Black Ops or Halo then Xbox 360 it is :)

If you're buying based on the moving, the Wii has a much bigger catalogue of game so I would say Wii.

If you want a proper console with some moving on the side, or don't minding waiting 2 a year or so for a lot of decent moving games, then the Xbox and Kinect is your guy :D

It all depends on what kind of games you want to play. If youl ike the games for Wii, buy the Wii, and vise versa for the Xbox 360. Personally, I would get the Kinect as the Kinect is a great product.

A Wii uses a controller you shake, and move with your hands.

A X-Box 360 (with Kinnect) uses your whole body, probably giving you more exercise. It just really depends on your decision. Some questions are truly just up to your own opinion.

I have both so it is quite easy for me to work it out. i recomend the x box 360 and kinnect because the kinnect sences more movement then a wii remote.plus, u dont have to hold the controller on x box kinnect.
