Pokemon Go: A A Mythical Discovery Guide

 

Pokemon Go continues to thrive and have a very active player base. Trainers move around, especially on Community Days, and band together to take down the Monthly Legendary Pokemon available through raids.

 

7 of the 8 phases have 3 objectives that you need to complete. Completing each objective will reward the trainer with XP. Completing all of the objectives for each phase will give you rewards.

 

The first Phase of the quest can be completed very quickly. The 3 objectives: Spin 5 PokeStops, Catch 10 Pokemon, and Transfer 5 Pokemon. Completing each of these objectives will get you 500 experience.

Spin 5 PokeStops to begin with. This has you just traveling around. If you can get into a downtown area, this can be done very quickly. Catch 10 Pokemon can easily be completed while going between PokeStops. Transferring 5 Pokemon is easily done just by looking for doubles and other who do not appraise highly.

Completing this phase will give you: 10 Great Balls, 1 Incubator, and 3 Lure Modules.

 

The second phase has 3 objectives: Earn 2 candies walking with your buddy, Make 10 Great Throws, and Hatch 3 Eggs. Each of these objectives will grant you 1000 experience.

Earn 2 candies walking with your buddy can be easily done. Take some time to set your Buddy Pokemon to 1 km. A long walk will complete this objective quickly. Make 10 Great Throws. Take your time with the throws and watch the circle closing in on the Pokemon. Land the Pokeballs in the circle when it has gotten about 1/3 in. Hatch 3 Eggs. It is recommended to have 2km eggs in your incubator. Use multiple incubators if possible to hatch them.

Completing this phase will get you: 2000 Stardust, 3 Incense, and 20 Great Balls.

 

The third phase has the objectives: Reach Level 15, Battle a Gym 2 times, Battle in 2 raids. Each of these objectives will grant you 1500 experience.

Reach Level 15 is done through normal play of the game. If you need to speed up your Leveling, use Lucky Eggs. Battle a Gym 2 times, can be done easily. Find Gyms that are controlled by opposing teams. You only need to battle 2 Pokemon inside the gyms. Battling in 2 raids can be tricky. You just need to find and participate in 2 Raids. These can be found in any Gym.

Completing this phase will get you 1 Charged TM, 1 Fast TM, and 2 Star Pieces.

 

The Fourth phase has the objectives: Earn a Silver Kanto Badge, Evolve 20 Pokemon, Earn 5 candies walking with your buddy. Completing each objective will give you 2000 experience.

Earning a Silver Kanto Badge is easily done. You must catch and register 50 Kanto region Pokemon. These Pokemon are between #001-150. Evolving 20 Pokemon requires a lot of candies. The Pokemon: Caterpie, Weedle, Wurmple, Pidgey, and other Pokemon who require 12 candies to evolve are great choices. Earn 5 candies walking with your buddy is easily done. Set your buddy Pokemon to a Pokemon with the 1 km distance to complete this portion quickly.

Completing this phase will give the trainer: 4000 Stardust, 3 Lure Modules, and 20 Great Balls.

 

The Fifth phase has the objectives: Catch Ditto, Make 20 Great Throws, Catch 10 Ghost-type Pokemon. Each completed objective grants 2500 experience.

Catching Ditto can be tricky. They only appear as another Pokemon. These can be any Pokemon that you catch, so go for whatever you can. Making 20 Great Throws requires you land the Pokeball inside the circle around the wild Pokemon when it has closed at least 1/3. Catching 10 Ghost-type Pokemon can be time-consuming. Like the Ditto, it can just be lucky to encounter them. They do appear a little more at night.

Completing this phase will give you: 1 Raid Pass, 1 Lucky Egg, and 15 Revives.

 

The Sixth phase has the objectives: Reach Level 25, Battle 10 Raids, Evolve a Magikarp.

Reaching Level 25 will just happen through the course of the game. Use a Lucky Egg to speed up your level gains if needed.

Battling in 10 Raids simply takes time. Trainers can get 1 free Raid pass each day by visiting the Gym and spinning the PokeStop within.

Evolving a Magikarp is a challenge. It is now one of several Pokemon that require 400 candies to evolve. Visit piers, lakeshores and other watery areas to quickly stock up on your candies. Having Magikarp as your buddy is another good way to build up candies.

Completing this phase will give you: 6000 Stardust, 5 Rare Candies, and 3 Incense.

 

The Seventh phase has the objectives: Catch 50 Pokemon using a berry, Make 1 Excellent Curve throw, Earn Gold Kanto medal. Each completed objective grants 3500 experience.

Catching 50 Pokemon using a berry is a grind challenge. You will need to use whichever berries you have to increase your chances of catching Pokemon. Remember that Nanab and Razz berries can stack together. Making 1 Excellent Curve throw will take a number of tries. It takes a lot of skill to land the Pokeball inside the small circle in its final third of closing. Earning Gold Kanto medal requires registering 100 Kanto Pokemon. This can be done, it just takes time.

Completing this phase give you: 8000 Stardust, 20 Ultra Balls, and a Mythical Pokemon encounter.

 

The final phase has the objective: Catch Mew. Completing this objective will give you 4000 XP.

Having completed the previous phase, you will encounter Mew. Take your time aiming your throw and use your Ultra Balls, Golden Razz Berries, and Nanab Berries.

Completing this phase will get you 10,000 Stardust, 20 Mew Candies, and 1 Super Incubator.

 

Going through this quest is how trainers can get Mew added into their party. Enjoy the ancestor Pokemon of all Pokemon. It can learn a lot of different charged moves.
