Slew Of Xbox One Exclusives Leaked For 2014 And Beyond, Microsoft Seeks Legal Action

Forza Horizon 2, Crackdown 3, and Halo 2: Anniversary Edition are all headed to Xbox One over the next few years according to an annonymous source posting to the NeoGAF forums. This source has been reliable in the past when it comes to Microsoft developments, and has provided credentials to the mods at GAF.

Perhaps the most reputable evidence of the above news has come not from the source, but from Microsoft. The company is now seeking legal action against the source, Kotaku learned today. The company is actively seeking out the identity of the informant, and intends to sue.

Now for the interesting bit - the dirty details on the supposed exclusives currently in development for Xbox One. Keep in mind that, unless otherwise noted, this information isn't guranteed to be true even though Microsoft is proceeding as if it is.

Forza Horizon 2 is said to be coming to Xbox One this fall. It will be followed on November 11 by Halo 2: Anniversary, which will come in two Special Editions. One, a $60 package, will include beta access to Halo 5 and early access to a Halo-themed television show - but not the one Microsoft revealed at the Xbox One reveal event. Another, more expensive edition (over $100) will include gussied-up versions of Halo 3 and Halo 4 as well.

Crackdown 3 is in development for the Xbox One, and will release in 2016. The game is still early in development. Supposedly Microsoft has struck up a deal with Scottish cloud services provider Cloudgine to integrate some sort of cloud functionality into the game.

Halo 5 has been delayed and will not release in 2014.

Oh, and there will be a cheaper Xbox One hitting retail in 2014, likely targeting $399. We've had this one confirmed to us by a reliable source, so look out for it this holiday if everything goes according to plan.
