I just recently got a GBA (which I have never owned) and I like it the best for a few reasons:

#1 there were a bunch of SNES ports

#2 you can play game boy, GBC games on it

#3 there are some pretty good GBA games out there too.

#4 It's much cheaper than a DS

NES (Famicom in my country) has a lot of fond memories for me, with games like Mario, Contra, Castlevania, Metroid, Zelda etc.

But the PS1 has the most enjoyable childhood bro games I had including good ol' Street Fighter II Turbo, Tekken, Metal Gear Solid, Sold Edge, Syphon Filter, GTA I and more

The Sega Genesis.  Though the SNES was very good though i never actually had one at the time they were new, the Genesis had a maturer edge to it.  It seems like looking back in comparison the same games were so different per console.  I know some where made by different teams.  BUt it does seem that...and it wouldn't surprize me if this were true... Nintendo encouraged developers to make SNES games more "Cartoony".

SNES without a doubt, nostalgia for all the great sports games (NBA Jam, NHL 96, etc), square enix RPGs, capcom games, even the crappy movie adaption games were good (aladdin)

Genesis, hands down.

I grew up with Sonic, and regardless of what people may say of the newer games, I loved the old genesis Sonic games and still play them today. Gunstar Heroes, Rocket Knight Adventures, Ristar, and so much more just took my childhood away.

N64 for the multiplayer mayhem that was Goldeneye and Perfect Dark.

These games stole my childhood, would have been best console ever if the mariokart games was not so awful

I was a Sega kid for sure. My friend would always come over and we'd play Sonic. I'd play as Sonic and he would be my bitch and play as Tails.

The Gamecube. With the exception of a few gameboys, it's the only older system I have, but i prefer the Gamecube's games. And I love the sound that plays during the logo screen when you start it :3

I would definitely say I have the fondest memories of the Sega Genesis. I even had Sega-channel growing up.

Hard to top Mutant League Football or some good ol' Dr. Robotnik's Meanbean Machine in head to head mode.

Good times were had.

Definitely Super Nintendo. All the Mario games (kart and mario RPG included). Donkey Kong country, Super punch out, the Final Fantasy games and of course, the best game in the history of the world - Chrono Trigger.

i love the snes which had really great games from rpg's to fighting to platform to racing. it had it all. and at the same time i was running to the arcade because before online games there was arcades and the actual gameplay of alot of fighting games and racing is really different at an arcade then a console even today there is no match. ever play mk2 on snes? well at the arcade it was even better. even the ps3 downloadable version doesnt match vs the snes and the arcade versions. its the arcade stick that makes the difference

Sega Genesis.

Sorry, but I never grew up with an SNES.

Those were the days though... even though the only good game was Sonic.

N64 and NES I think. Both had amazing games, and some bad games as well lol, but a lot of nostalgia.

As a young child I played a lot of GBC games like Pokemon, so my favourite system is the GBC.

It would have to be the Dreamcast, without a doubt. The general feel and the amazing lineup of games just makes me wish it weren't cancelled.

I'd have to go with a DreamCast...

I loved the feel of the controller! And the games were actually fun.
