how do I beat the masked ninja in shinobi for the master system?

to beat the masked ninja,  takes persistence.  many, many tries.

 

1) if you dont already know the level select cheat,  press down and button 2 at the starting screen and the level select option should start.  get straight to mission 5 part 4.

 

2)  To see someone who has already done it,  youtube how to beat the masked ninja.  someone shows you how to do it there.  it took him hours,  and was largely luck, not skill!

 

3) there are 4 parts to his defences.

 

1) the force field.

when he jumps at you,  time a ninja star to hit him just as the field goes down before he jumps again.   this is pretty easy to get the hang of.  if you mess up even once with this part,  your pretty much finished.

 

2)  the next defence is a cyclone with boomerange type weapons wurrounding him.  hes immune to ninja stars,  so best way is to approach him and crouch and kick him as he stops.  if you do it right,   the boomerangs wont hurt you. again, hit him 3 times to get to the next part,

 

3) he will jump at you and then separate into 2 or 3 or 4 more copies of himself.  stay still then walk underhim at the last second and turn around and punch him before he separates.  do this again and you only have to hit him twice.  miss him and you have to kill all the copies and its pretty much game over.

 

4)  the 4th form just kills you.  he runs at you and it takes 2 lifes off you, then he hits you when your down and 2 more.  he seems to be largely immune to stars or any weapon but kicks once again.  except sometimes,  if you can jump over him (which you must to survive),  turn around and keep firing stars.  sometimes he is down and you can get up to 4 stars to hit him and they do damage, almost seems more like a mistake in the programming than the way to kill him,  but its the only way i know how.  It takes about 8 times to kill him!

 

be prepared to spend days if not weeks trying to do this,  its almost impossible.  the youtube video is easy to find and much better than this description.  good luck cause your gonna need it!
