It's leaving a game early, before it's over. Say your team is losing, and someone doesn't want to deal with it, they may just leave the game without saying anything. Quitting in a fit of rage.

Rage-quit for example in halo reach you become too frustrated in multiplayer for some reasons and this will lead you to shooting everyone or generally wasting your ammo before you quit too relieve you from your frustration and then finally quitting the game

Rage = anger

Quit = quitting the game.

So a rage-quit is a term typically used for online multiplayer, where someone has left/quit a game while being angry/frustrated, usually because of something happening in the game.

People who decide to rage-quit typically do so because:

- they keep on dying repeatedly
- they are unable to accomplish what they want to do and get frustrated
- someone who they're playing with is frustrating them because they're really bad.

Its when you violently quit a video game, by either pressing ALT-F4, unplugging your Desktop or smashing your laptop on the floor, because of your inability to understand that the game is just a game, and the players on the other side are only human.

Whenever you hear/read a slang that you don't understand, you should always check out UrbanDictionary. It's saved my butt a few times.

Ragequitting is basically where the person is in complete or utter anger at the game they are playing. Reasons can be where they are frustrated at the game, if in a team game like League of Legends saying that their team sucks, etc. Because of their anger, they quit in rage.
