yes you get about 5-6 mins to pick stuff up once the chunk they are in is loaded

so if you droped them far away from your spawn you should still be able to get them back since the clock wont start ticking till you get closer to them

also im not sure how the time works in multiplayer since the chunks are always loaded on the server
