How Hard is Portal 2 compared to the first?

While I haven't played it myself, I've read some interviews before the game got released. The developers say that the game will not make you do something it hasn't "taught" you. You will have a good learning curve and will be able to play the game normally without frustration. It might look complicated in the trailers, but that's just for the WOW factor of the game :)

it's not as hard on the player for lacking “ninja skills” as its predecessor was.

Well portal was not hard,In portal 2 you will find some area little bit complicated, one tip but just study the area first,Also solving some puzzles in portal 2 is much much satisfying.

From what I have read on review sites and from player statements, it's about on par with the original difficulty wise.

Every now and then you'll get stuck, but from what I can tell it's more or less as difficult as the last, maybe even easier.

Probably the same in difficulty. But because there are more features now, the diversity in gameplay may present a challenge to some.
