There's no actual difference, they're just two colors to differentiate for the two portal buttons mapped to the gun.  This lets you see, for instance, which portal you haven't fired yet (so you don't accidentally move an existing portal you set up).

The only difference between the two different colored portals is, well.. The colors. You can thInk of one as an enterance and one as an exit, if you'd like, but that distinction isn't exclusive to either of them in particular. Basically, when you enter one color portal, you exit the other.

There is no difference, the colors are there to distinguish from each other. If they were both blue or both orange, it would be really confusing to the player, since you wouldn't know what was the last portal you opened.

they are both the exact same, color is the only thing that differentiates between them.

There is no difference. They are just linked to the other one.

Pretty much nothing. It is like the difference between the colors red and blue themselves. They are simply jsut different colors.

There is no difference between the two. One is Orange, the other is Blue. It's not that one is an "entrance" and the other is an "exit" They work both ways. The colors help differentiate between the two in case you want to place a portal but keep one of the current two in a specific place.

There is no difference, the colors are just holdovers from Narbacular Drop (made by the same developers before Portal, as a student project).

Not really a difference, besides that Blue Portals are more popular, and used more, being easier to summon.

Orange portal ---> Blue Portal

Blue Portal ---> Orange Portal

There is not any difference, the colors just help you tell them apart easier. In portal one you can only use one portal for some of the levels, making it harder.

No difference just the orange portal transports you to the blue portal and vice versa

There's no actual difference. The two colors are just to help people keep track of which portal is where, and whether the next portal needs to be an orange one or the blue one.

There is no difference, except for color. They are different because... well, say you are in a chamber and you must use the tractor beam to catch you. If they are both blue or both orange or both black or both white or whatever, you might fire the portal that the beam is going into where you need to be caught, and if you fail, you die. If it is orange and blue, you will know which is which and not die
