wow when should i start heroics

at what point should i start doing heroics in world of warcraft?

You should probably get gear from normal dungeons and then go to heroics.

It depends on who you ask and what your class is.

Let's be honest here and admit that if you are a tank or a healer you should not be going into heroics until you are very confident and have gained a lot of gear from the normal instances (and even some raids).

But as a dps, if you know what you are doing, you can sneak in there with some greens still intact. But most of the time people will be pretty cross with you, expecting you to have better gear.
