Well as first , start new game and follow those instructions which you get in the begin as tutorial , there is described how you can use elika's power.

You stand on the plate, press triangle and then do the same "healing" stuff: Repeatedly press triangle while Elika is in the air. After that, you'll be in a demo room that shows you how to use the power. At that point, you can go to the glowing orbs on your map and finish more sections.
