Hi I bought Dragon Age II and I heard you can use your character from Dragon Age Origins? How do I do that?

You cannot use the character, per se, but when you start a new game in Dragon Age 2 you are able to import your old save file. This causes the events and decisions you made in Origins to carry over into Dragon Age 2.

Your character does not show up in Dragon Age 2, though.

unfortunately, you can't carry the actual character over, but you can use the decisions made  in dao, that's what it means by using the save file, not as good as most of us would have liked, i'm sure.

Actual characters cannot be used in DA2. Otherwise you will start with a high level and defeat the purpose of the game.
