No, the World of Warcraft is an online only game.

Wow requires you to have an internet connection, because if not people could edit their characters offline and then rejoin the server with stupidly overpowered stats and items.

Nope. WoW is and MMORPG, which stands for Massive Multiplayer Online Role Playing Game. ONLINE Role Playing Game. Therefore, you can not play it offline.

It is possible, but not recommended. It's not usually done. You can buy the offline edition which you basically play it on LAN or on a private server.

Sadly not, as World of Warcraft is an online service.

You can however, set up a private server and play by yourself, however anything you do there is non-transferrable to the real game and as such is probably a huge waste of time :(

No. You cant play WoW offline since its a MMORPG which means you interact with people all of the world and over a specific netwerk.
