terraria to pick up the sticky glowstick?

I am able to place stick glowsticks but am not able to pick them up! is this a bug?

no they made it like that for some stupid reason... it doesnt work with normal glowsticks either i've tried it.

i have picked up glowsticks you have to wait sometime. they have a effective glow time.
then if you get to them intime you can pick them up
