Each weapon has its own craft recipe. Most are crafted at an Anvil or a Workbench. Follow the recipe (the list http://wiki.terrariaonline.com/Weapon ), then stand near an Anvil or a Workbench, press the inventory button (ESC by default), find your weapon of choice in the craft bar (lower left corner, vertical scroll list) and craft it
