no class is better than another, they both require different strategies, it depends how you play them

While it does come down to personal opinion on which class is better, the Warlock does have much more going for it then mage does. It is definitely the more difficult class to play, due to the added management of a pet, however it has way more possibilities than Mage does.

For instance, the pet itself. There are a few different kinds of pets Warlocks can summon and each of them are unique. Some are meant to be tanks for the Warlock, while some output crazy DPS while having the ability to CC a second mob at the same time.

From my experiences of playing a Mage and playing a Warlock, I would also say that Warlock is much more rewarding. It is a situational class, where Mage turns into a simple cycle of the same old spells.

My DPS from Warlock was also much higher for MP spent.
