sims 3 generations if your sim moves to a different town does it keep its memories?

I haven't got the game yet but you can save your sim on edit town and they save all the skills but surley then can save the memories to do that you must;

1 go on edit town

2 click on your household and click on the folder and then you can save it.

3 Then go to a new game chouse the town you want then click then move in household and then there you go.
