In Dragon Age 2 Should you take Carver with you on the Deep Roads Expedition?

If you take him with you without Anders in your employ, Carver will die. If you take him with you WITH Anders, Carver will become a Warden. Either way, he'll be out of your party for a good chunk of the game.

I didn't because I didn't like the guy, but later I found out that I should because he would be able to get killled. I regret that decision.

1. if don't bring him to the deep roads, he joins the templars

2. if you bring him to the deep roads without anders, he dies of the taint

3. if you bring him to the deep roads with anders, he leaves and joins the grey wardens

Unless you want him to become a Templar than yes, oh and bring Anders with you, unless you want him to die.
