Why is Diablo 3 telling me I need a newer operating system even through I have Windows Vista installed?

also I wanted to say that I went to windows update and I downloaded all the updates and it still gives me this message
I am still getting UNABLE TO INSTALL
@diablolic: I have tried installing all updates, running as admin, restarting computer but it STILL DOESNT WORK!
I have the same problem. It's telling me i need newer operating system to run diablo III

I don't have this issue myself, but I read the following possible fixes on another forum maybe it will help:

- make sure all windows updates are installed (you can click on START and then type in "windows updates"

- Try going to the folder where the installer .exe file is, right click on it, and select "Run as Administrator"

- Try restarting the computer and then trying the installer again

Make sure there is no folder named Diablo 3 in any of your program files. Save the installer somewhere else. I did that and it started installing with no issues.
