You can combine it with stuff to get different kind of dyes, to be precise, combining with Ink Sac will create Gray Dye, combining it with Gray Dye creates Light Gray Dye, combining it with Lapis Lazuli creates Light Blue Dye, combining it with Rose Red creates Pink Dye, and combining it with Cactus Green creates Lime Dye.

It also can be used as a fertilizer, when used on a sapling, it grows a random tree.
