what happens when you prestige in call of duty black ops

You lose all of your weapons/perks/etc for an extra custom class slot at every odd prestige, for example 1,3,5,7, and 9 for a total of 10 custom classes. You unlock new backgrounds for your playercard, new prestige game modes, new icons, gold camo at prestige 14, new emblems, and lose all of your cod points.

You lose all weapons, etc and you can get an extra slot for load out.

When you prestige you will lose your COD points, weapons, perks, custom classes and any extra's you bought for your weapons. You will unlock new things for your profile though and you get to keep your emblems, clan tag and your own emblem you created.
