Unfortunately it is too late to change her clothes. EA made some huge oversights on this one. You can still change her hair though with a mod.
I have a system. Its not perfect but at least your heroes future kids can look like they belong to that family. No more Princesses in rags! And as far as I've found it is the ONLY thing that works. (sometimes takes some time though)

HAIR:

First of all you need to download 'Treeag's Edit in CAS' mod:

for help on installing mods in the sims medieval:

You should always back up your game before installing a mod, but I have never had any problems with this one. In fact it works like a charm - sort of...

It allows you to click on any sim and have the option to "edit in CAS" (Create-A-Sim mode).
However for children it is fairly limited. You can use it to change the hair style and color though which is great ESPECIALLY if you get a girl with one of those weird bowl cuts or something... lol. also the eyebrows.
BUT It will not let you change facial features, you can appear to change the clothes but it doesnt show up when you exit CAS, and when you go into basics (name, voice, etc) the child turns into an "adult" which if you accept the sim ends up looking like a little person with a child height adult body (I have never played one like that so dont know if it eventually glitches out or what, could be interesting though) but if you want you child to remain a child you cannot change skin tone, name, voice, traits..

BUT you can change their hair and it is also quite useful for adults.

For adults it works great for changing facial features, names, traits, hair and voice. Unfortunately weight always resets itself (though it works for a limited time). Clothing is again a problem.

CLOTHES:

ok so for kids appearances thats good for hair but what about the clothes?? Well, we must employ the old trick for getting the preferred gender, except you want to save before your baby grows into a child so that you can go back if you need to try for different clothes. the problem is theres about a 4 hour wait after it tells you your baby is growing up. So after about two and a half to three hours after it notifies you, save your game and just hang out for an hour so you dont have to redo any quest stuff. you can also keep saving if you want to get it closer, but keep an eye on the crib. Once it starts rocking back and forth with a sort of purpose right before it changes, its already decided the clothes, so make sure you save before then and not during!! if you are unsure use the save as option and make another file so you can go back if you've cut it too close.

THAT is the only method I can find. It is tedious but if you like everything to be just so like I do it's worth it.
But it is far from perfect and it is just so frustrating that EA overlooked this, it seems like such an enormous oversight. If they are making children essentially accessories then why wouldnt they be customizable like pretty much everything else in the game?? Makes NO sense.

maybe they are hoping to cover their laziness with EPs. Grr...

Anyway hope this helps a little!! Happy simming!! image
